Factory chrome divides opinion. On a brand-new Silverado, Patrol or LandCruiser, those bright silver strips can make a tough truck look like a fridge. The fix is our blackout package, and it is the single most requested combination in both studios.
What gets blacked out
A full blackout typically covers the grille and surrounds, window trims, door handles, mirror caps, badges and any remaining brightwork, all wrapped or replaced in gloss or satin black. We usually pair it with ceramic window tints and headlight and tail-light film for that complete, factory-stealth look.
This blacked-out Silverado 2500 got the lot: headlight and tail-light PPF, tints and every piece of chrome deleted. The result reads custom without a single panel of paint being touched.
Why it holds value
Everything in a blackout package is reversible. Peel the vinyl and the chrome is still perfect underneath, which makes it ideal for leased and novated cars too. It is also one of the most affordable big-impact transformations we offer, usually done in a day or two.
