Every now and then a build comes through the studio that resets the bar. This C8 Corvette arrived in clean, ordinary white, and its owner had a vision that was anything but ordinary: a colour that never sits still.
The film we used is called Hidden Forest, a colour-shift finish that moves between deep emerald green, teal and near-black purple depending on the angle and the light. Every panel had to be planned around how the shift flows across the body.
The details that make it
A finish this loud only works if the details are quiet. Door jambs, shuts and edges were all wrapped and tucked so there is no white peeking through anywhere. We paired the shift with bronze wheels, and the contrast turned out to be the whole personality of the car.
