@pimpmycar_ausWhy this one
A shop that earns from
more than one thing.
Single-service shops live and die on one season. Ours do not.
Eleven revenue lines, one shop
Tints, paint protection, wraps, ceramic, chrome delete, calipers, wheels, motorcycle work and residential film. A quiet week on wraps is a busy week on tints, so the bays keep earning.
We already teach this for a living
Our training course has been running out of Melbourne and Perth for years, in English, Hindi and Chinese. Franchisees and their installers learn on the same programme.
Built for the EV wave
Tesla, BYD and Zeekr owners are our fastest-growing group, and soft factory paint on new EVs sells paint protection on its own. We already have the pattern data and the model pages.
Supplier accounts from day one
Film from 3M, Avery Dennison and STEK at group pricing, with the 470-plus colour catalogue and swatch library your customers already browse on this site.
The enquiries are already coming
Most of our work arrives through organic search and Instagram, not paid ads. New sites plug into that pipeline instead of starting a brand from zero.
Systems, not just a logo
Quoting, job flow, warranty terms, pricing structure, photography standards and the enquiry-to-booking process, handed over rather than invented.
What you need
Start with 180m².
That is the number everything else hangs off. Below 180m² you get one usable bay, and a single full-day wrap then blocks every tint and PPF booking behind it. At 180m² you fit two bays, a prep area and somewhere for customers to sit, which is where the week starts paying for itself.
Minimum 180m² floor area
Enough for two install bays, a prep area and a customer space. Larger is better if you want to add wheels or powder coating.
Enclosed, dust-controlled install bay
Film and dust do not mix. Sealed roller doors, no open-air bays, no shared space with panel or spray work.
Roller door and drive-in access
Wide enough for dual-cabs and vans, with room to open a car door fully on both sides once it is inside.
Around 3.5m clear ceiling height
Roof wraps and tall 4WDs need headroom, and it keeps the option of a hoist open later.
Level floor and bright, even lighting
You cannot see what you have missed under bad light. We will spec the lighting with you.
Climate control
Heating and cooling so adhesive behaves the same in a Melbourne winter and a Perth summer.
Wash and prep area with drainage
Every job starts with a decontamination wash, so water has to go somewhere legal.
Correct zoning and council approval
Industrial or light-industrial zoning that permits automotive work. We will help you read a lease before you sign it.
Customer parking and a waiting area
People drop cars off and collect them. A tidy front of house closes more quotes than you would think.
Visible or easily found location
Main-road frontage is a bonus, not a must. An industrial estate that is easy to navigate works well.
Already have a tint or detailing shop? Send us the floor plan and the lease. Conversions are usually the quickest way to open, and we will tell you straight what would need to change.
The right operator
- Hands-on owner-operator, in the shop rather than running it from a distance
- Genuinely cares about finish quality, because the warranty is the brand
- Comfortable talking to customers and quoting work face to face
- Ready to commit to the full training programme before opening
- Australian work rights and the ability to hold a commercial lease
- Prior wrap, tint or detailing experience is welcome, but not required
No film experience? That is genuinely fine. Several of our best installers had never touched a roll before they trained with us. See the course.
Before you open
- Site selection and lease review
- Bay layout and equipment list
- Full hands-on training for you and your first installer

Once you are trading
- Your studio on pimpmycar.net.au, with local search pages
- Shared enquiry pipeline and booking flow

How it goes
Enquiry to open doors.
Send an enquiry
Tell us where you want to open and whether you already have a site in mind. Two minutes.
Get the info pack
We send the full picture: investment, fees, what is included, and the numbers behind a studio.
Have a proper talk
A call, then a visit to Ravenhall or Malaga so you can see a working shop before committing to anything.
Site and paperwork
We help you find and assess a site. You receive the disclosure document and take your own legal and accounting advice.
Train and fit out
You train with our installers while the bays go in. Equipment, film and signage land before opening.
Open the doors
We are on site for your launch, and your studio joins the enquiry pipeline the day you start taking bookings.
Next step
Get the info pack.
Tell us where you want to open. We will send the full picture, including the investment, what is covered and what a studio actually looks like week to week. No obligation, and we keep it between us.
Come and see one first if you would rather. Our studios are at Unit 26/55 Barretta Rd, Ravenhall VIC 3023 and Unit 2/24 Vale St, Malaga WA 6090.
Good to know
The usual questions.
Do I need to know how to wrap a car?
No. A good number of the best installers we have trained had never touched film before. What we cannot teach is caring about the finish and turning up every day, so that is what we screen for. Training is part of the package, not an extra.
What does it cost to open a studio?
We send the full breakdown in the info pack rather than publishing it, because the number moves with your site, your fit-out and how many services you start with. Send an enquiry and you will have it in writing.
Why 180m²?
Below that you end up with one bay, and one bay means a full-day wrap blocks every tint and PPF booking behind it. 180m² fits two bays plus prep and a customer area, which is the point where the numbers start working.
Can I convert my existing detailing or tint shop?
Often yes, and it is usually the fastest route to opening. Bring us the floor plan and the lease and we will tell you honestly what would need to change.
Which locations are available?
We are open to enquiries anywhere in Australia. We operate Melbourne and Perth ourselves, so those states are the easiest for us to support hands-on, but tell us where you are and we will have the conversation.
How long from enquiry to opening?
It depends almost entirely on how quickly you find the right site. Once a lease is signed, training and fit-out typically run in parallel over a couple of months.
Do I get an exclusive area?
Territory is part of the agreement and we work it out with you against local population and drive times. The specifics are in the info pack and the disclosure document.
